About the pod
Parents at Navy Elementary, choosing childhood.
Our mission: creating a community of digital wellness through conversation and action.
We started as a handful of Navy families passing The Anxious Generation back and forth at pick-up. The same worries came up every time: the phones, the group chats, the pull of the screen, the shrinking space for kids to just be kids.
So we did the thing Haidt says actually works — we agreed to explore the norms, and we put dates on the calendar. Playgrounds, nature centers, books and families.
The Pod is here to explore balanced technology that puts childhood first through open, non-judgmental communication.

Every gathering is offline, outdoor when we can, and built around unstructured time.
